The Fine Print

Official contest rules

By entering this contest, participants agree to abide by the following terms and conditions.

1. Eligibility

The contest is open to participants who are 18 years or older. Employees, agents, and affiliates of Spring Hill Studios, and any other parties involved in the promotion or administration of the contest, are not eligible to participate. The contest is void where prohibited by law. Winners are solely responsible for any taxes that may apply to prizes received.

2. Free to Enter

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Purchasing any product or service does not improve your chances of winning.

3. How to Enter

To enter, participants must complete all of the following: (1) complete and submit the Song Submission Form; (2) follow @springhillstudios on Instagram; (3) like a recent Summer Song Contest Instagram post; and (4) comment “SUMMER” on that post and tag a fellow Christian songwriter. Up to three (3) entries per person will be accepted. Entries must be submitted by July 10, 2026 at 11:59pm CST. Late or incomplete entries will not be considered.

4. Contest Period

The contest begins on June 26, 2026 at 12:00pm CST and ends on July 10, 2026 at 11:59pm CST.

5. Submission Requirements & Ownership

Each entry must be the participant's original work. By entering, you represent and warrant that you wrote or co-wrote the song, that you own or control all rights necessary to submit it, that you have permission from any co-writers or rights-holders to enter it, and that the song does not infringe the copyright or other rights of any third party. Spring Hill Studios may disqualify any entry it believes to be infringing, ineligible, or not the entrant's original work.

By submitting an entry, you further represent, warrant, and agree that: (a) you have obtained permission from all of the song's writers and publishers to submit it to this contest; (b) the song has not yet been publicly released; (c) you agree to act as the spokesperson on behalf of all of the song's writers and publishers in connection with this contest; and (d) you have been authorized by that group to make decisions on its behalf, including agreeing to these rules and accepting any prize. Spring Hill Studios may rely on these representations in all dealings related to the entry.

No AI-generated submissions. Entries must be written and produced entirely by the participant (and any human co-writers). Songs that use artificial intelligence in any part of the songwriting or production process — including, but not limited to, AI-generated lyrics, melodies, chord progressions, arrangements, vocals, instrumentation, or audio — will not be accepted. By entering, you represent and warrant that no AI tools were used to create any part of your submission, and Spring Hill Studios may disqualify any entry it believes to involve AI-generated content.

6. Judging

Entries are judged by the Spring Hill Studios team on songwriting, originality, melody, lyric, and overall potential. All judging decisions are made at Spring Hill Studios' sole discretion and are final.

7. Prizes

The first-place winner will receive: one Full Song Production ($3,000 value), one Artist / Songwriter Assessment ($149 value), 5 Playlist Pitches ($175 value), 3 months of Writing Club — Tier 1 ($297 value), free access to the Vocal Care 101 course ($99 value), and free access to the Basic Worship Guitar course ($199 value).

The top 10 runner-up songwriters will receive 33% off the following services, provided the service is paid for by August 16, 2026 at 11:59pm CST: Full Song Production, Acoustic Production, Guitar/Piano/Vocal Production, and Guitar/Piano/Vocal + Strings Production.

Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives, except as provided by Spring Hill Studios. The grand-prize Full Song Production must be claimed and scheduled by August 16, 2026 — the same deadline as the runner-up discount. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Spring Hill Studios does not take publishing royalties on songs submitted; songwriting and publishing percentages remain unaffected by entering the contest or by a winning song being recorded.

8. Winner Selection & Notification

Winners will be selected and announced by the Spring Hill Studios team by July 17, 2026, and notified via a combination of email, Instagram, and phone. If a winner does not respond within 3 days of notification, an alternate winner may be selected.

9. Use of Submissions & Publicity

By entering, participants grant Spring Hill Studios a non-exclusive license to use their entry for the purpose of administering, judging, and promoting the contest. Participants also agree that Spring Hill Studios may use their name, likeness, and entry in promotional materials without compensation, unless prohibited by law, including screenshots of contest-related messages and posts on social media. Winners may be required to participate in interviews, photography, or other promotional activities as a condition of receiving their prize.

10. General Conditions

Spring Hill Studios reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these rules or tampers with the contest process. If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as planned (due to tampering, technical failure, or any other cause), Spring Hill Studios reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the contest at its sole discretion. Spring Hill Studios is not responsible for any technical errors, interruptions, or problems that may arise during the entry process or contest administration.

11. Limitation of Liability

By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Spring Hill Studios, its affiliates, agents, and representatives from any liability, loss, damage, or injury resulting from participation in the contest or acceptance of a prize. In no event shall Spring Hill Studios be liable for any indirect, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from participation in the contest.

12. Privacy

Any personal data collected from participants will be used solely for the purposes of the contest and in accordance with Spring Hill Studios' Privacy Policy. By entering, participants consent to the collection and use of their personal data as outlined there.

13. Social Media Release

This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Meta, or any other social media platform. Any questions, comments, or complaints must be directed to Spring Hill Studios, not to those platforms.

14. Governing Law

The contest and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.

15. Acceptance of Rules

By entering, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Official Contest Rules.
